King Abijah
Second king of Judah, son of Rehoboam and father of Asa, who appealed to the LORD's covenant of salt with David and routed Jeroboam's army at Mount Zemaraim.
Reigning three years in Jerusalem (1 Kings 15:1–2), Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim to remind northern Israel of God's everlasting covenant with David, and the LORD gave Judah victory when they cried out and the priests blew the trumpets (2 Chronicles 13:4–18; Matthew 1:7).
