Judas Iscariot
The treasurer among the twelve disciples who bargained to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver — yet had his feet tenderly washed by Christ in the Upper Room.
Chosen among the twelve apostles and entrusted with the common moneybag (John 12:6), Judas allowed greed and unbelief to harden his heart until Satan entered into him to betray Jesus to the chief priests for thirty pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14–15; John 13:2).
At the Last Supper in John 13, knowing fully who was about to betray Him, Jesus knelt before Judas with the basin and towel and scrubbed the dust from his feet before handing him the dipped morsel of appeal — demonstrating that unconditional Agape love is given from the perfection of the Giver, even when rejected by the receiver (John 13:2–30).
The Unconditional (Agape) — The Basin and the Towel in the Upper Room
Jesus lays aside His outer garments, ties a servant's towel around His waist, and washes His disciples' feet—including Judas.
