Satan (The Accuser)
The fallen adversary and relentless prosecutor who points at Joshua the High Priest's filthy garments in Zechariah 3, is unmasked as the Great Red Dragon in Revelation 12, and is evicted from Heaven's court forever.
In Hebrew, ha-Satan means 'the Adversary' or 'the Prosecutor.' In Zechariah's vision of the heavenly courtroom, Satan stands at the right hand of Joshua the High Priest to demand Israel's legal condemnation over their filthy garments — until the LORD silences him with the decree, 'The LORD rebuke you, O Satan!' and clothes Joshua in pure festal robes (Zechariah 3:1–5).
In Revelation 12, John sees his true cosmic form unmasked: a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns who wages war in heaven against Michael and his angels. Defeated by the blood of the Lamb and the word of the saints' testimony, the disbarred prosecutor is violently cast down to earth, where he empowers the beasts of Revelation 13 before his final destruction (Revelation 12:7–12; Revelation 20:10).
