King Manasseh
Son of Hezekiah who plunged Judah into deep idolatry for decades, yet when taken in hooks to Babylon humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers and was restored.
Reigning fifty-five years in Jerusalem, Manasseh rebuilt the idols his father Hezekiah had destroyed — yet when captured by the Assyrians and bound in bronze chains in Babylon, he entreated the LORD in deep humility, and God heard his plea and restored him to Jerusalem (2 Chronicles 33:10–16; Matthew 1:10).
