Death, the Rider on the Pale Horse (Fourth Seal)
The fourth horseman of Revelation 6:7–8 — named Death with Hades following behind — whose jurisdiction is strictly capped at a fourth of the earth before Death and Hades themselves are cast into the Lake of Fire.
When the Lamb opens the fourth seal and the fourth living creature calls 'Come!', John beholds a pale (Greek: chloros — ashen-green) horse: 'and its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth' (Revelation 6:7–8). Though terrifying in appearance, Death cannot touch a single fraction beyond the one-fourth boundary granted from the throne — and in Revelation 20:14 Death and Hades are seized and thrown into the Lake of Fire forever.
The Four Horsemen — The Weeping Apostle in the Throne Room, The Worthy Lamb & The Leashed Horsemen of the Seals
The slain Lamb opens the first four seals of the scroll, commanding the four horsemen on a strict sovereign leash while preserving the oil and the wine.
