Barak
General of Israel from Kedesh-naphtali who recognized he needed Deborah's prophetic presence beside him, led 10,000 foot soldiers down Mount Tabor at her word, and routed Sisera's mud-locked chariot army.
Summoned from Kedesh-naphtali by Deborah to lead 10,000 men of Naphtali and Zebulun up Mount Tabor against Sisera's 900 iron chariots, Barak son of Abinoam answered: 'If you will go with me, I will go, but if you will not go with me, I will not go' (Judges 4:6–8). Marching with Deborah's prophetic authority and charging down the slopes of Mount Tabor at her signal, Barak routed the entire Canaanite host and is honored in the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11:32 (Judges 4:14–16; Hebrews 11:32).
