Notice Elisha did not pray for God to send the chariots of fire — they were already on the mountain! Elisha only had to pray for his servant's eyes to open to see the Shield of Faith.
📜 Complete Scriptural Narrative

Rising early and going out at dawn in the hillside city of Dothan, the servant of the man of God froze in terror: an entire Syrian strike force with horses and iron chariots had encircled the city overnight to capture Elisha (2 Kings 6:14–15). Crying out in panic, 'Alas, my master! What shall we do?', he could see only the natural odds stacked against them.

Elisha answered, 'Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them,' and prayed, 'O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.' Immediately the LORD opened the young man's spiritual eyes, and he saw the mountain ablaze with horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha (2 Kings 6:16–17).
