📜 Complete Scriptural Narrative

Ruling Aram-Damascus during Elisha's ministry, the King of Syria first tried to buy Naaman's healing through a diplomatic letter and treasury of silver and gold sent to Israel's king (2 Kings 5:5–6). Later, when his secret military ambushes against Israel were repeatedly foiled, he summoned his officers in fury crying, 'Will you not show me who of us is for the king of Israel?' — only to learn that the prophet Elisha told Israel's king the very words he spoke in his bedroom, prompting him to send horses, chariots, and a great army to surround Dothan by night (2 Kings 6:8–14).
