Jahaziel the Levite
The Levitical worshipper of the sons of Asaph upon whom the Spirit of the LORD came in the middle of the assembly — proclaiming to King Jehoshaphat, 'Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God's.'
As all Judah stood before the LORD in the temple court with their little ones, their wives, and their children after King Jehoshaphat prayed, 'We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you,' the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly (2 Chronicles 20:12–14).
Speaking with pinpoint prophetic clarity, Jahaziel revealed the exact cliff pass (the ascent of Ziz) where the enemy would march the next morning and delivered Heaven's battle plan: 'Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God's... You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf' (2 Chronicles 20:15–17).
The Midnight Ambush — The Midnight Ambush
Facing a vast coalition, Jehoshaphat sends singers ahead of the army, and God sets ambushes until the enemy destroys itself.
